You are first a human on BusinesSite — then owner or employee of other businesses. Register your profile free. Learners get the Education plan free.

Registration is free with 3% revenue share (we earn only when you grow), Education / Learner free access for students & school users, or negotiated monthly SLA based on volume after you start trading.

If you choose 3% revenue share: BusinesSite earns 3% of each successful sale. You also pay PayFast payment-service fees (card about 3.2% + R2, Instant EFT about 2%, or SCode cash at Shoprite, Checkers and other retail tills where SCode is enabled — rates set by PayFast). We recommend PayFast Split Payments so your merchant share can be paid directly by PayFast and BusinesSite only withdraws its platform share.

Countries & compliance: declare country of birth (always) and trading country (required for 3% / monthly traders; optional for learners). Compliance defaults to your trading country; if birth ≠ trading you may apply trading-only or both. CIPC & SARS (SA only): if South Africa is in your compliance scope and you trade without CIPC registration and a SARS tax number, SA law requires us to treat payouts as employment income — we process PAYE (and UIF) and pay tax to SARS; you are paid as our employee for those earnings until you register formally.

Mother tongue / home language * Same list as Languages Spoken. Required for formalised email: senders write in any language; the Mailing Support Queue (AI + Support Team) translates into the receiver’s mother tongue. After registration, system replies default to English — say language mother tongue, language english, or language both in chat. with correct formalities.
